Haroldson Office Supply - Jamestown, ND
Quality Office Products and Service Since 1939
When I.O. Haroldson opened the doors to Haroldson Office Supply on February 1, 1939, he was a registered pharmacist. Having graduated from the North Dakota Agricultural College (NDSU), he had practiced in Rolette, ND before moving to Jamestown and operating the Gladstone Pharmacy.

Haroldson Office Supply was originally on the west side of First Avenue South, on the corner that most recently housed Harty Insurance. In the late 1950s the store was moved across the street to its present location at 107 First Avenue South.

At one time the building had been the W.W. Woolworth Store. A green "W" can still be seen on the walkway into the store. It was actually two stores with Haroldson Office Supply in the north half and B & O Drug in the south half. B & O Drug closed in the late 1960s, and the dividing wall was removed. Haroldson Office Supply has occupied the entire building ever since.

I.O. and his son Myron Haroldson ran the store until I.O. died in 1973. Myron continued to operate the store until he sold it to his son, Tom, on January 1, 1982. Myron passed away in 1987.

When Tom Haroldson bought the store from his father, he became the third generation to run the family business. Haroldson has expanded the product offerings to include systems furniture, computer furniture, and an ever-expanding line of business products, over 30,000 items in all.  In 2007, Tom sold the business to A&B Business Equipment

From the days of accountants and bookkeepers wearing green eyeshades to today’s ergonomically designed offices with computers, fax machines and digital copier/printers, Haroldson Office Supply has been the local leader for every business need. Their motto, “Providing quality office products and service since 1939,” continues to be their focus with service being the most important product in their line.
